The short answer

What Pop-A-Lock does for businesses in Southeastern Massachusetts

We keep commercial doors, keys and vehicles working. That means business lockouts, rekeying when an employee or tenant leaves, master key systems, high-security and restricted keys, panic bars and exit devices, door closers, access control and keyless entry, and replacement keys and fobs for company vehicles.

Every job gets a written quote before work begins and an invoice made out to your business. If your company has locations outside Massachusetts, the Pop-A-Lock network can cover those too.

Who we work with

Built for the people who manage doors for a living

If you are responsible for a building, a portfolio, a campus or a fleet, you need one locksmith who answers, shows up and keeps records. That is the account we want to be.

Property managers and multifamily

Rekeys between tenants, unit turnovers, master key systems, mailbox and common-area locks, and lockouts for residents after the office closes.

Medical and professional offices

Restricted keys for medication rooms, records storage and suites, keyed-alike setups for staff, and fast rekeys when people change roles.

Schools, towns and public buildings

Classroom security hardware, exit device service, key control and audits, and planned rekey projects scheduled around the calendar.

Retail, restaurants and franchises

Storefront door locks and closers, after-hours lockouts, and rekeying the same day a manager leaves so the old key stops working.

Industrial, warehouse and waterfront

Heavy-duty hardware, gate and padlock key control, and service for industrial parks and waterfront operations in Taunton, Fall River and New Bedford.

Fleets, dealerships and contractors

Spare and replacement keys and fobs cut and programmed on site, plus lockouts for work trucks and vans without towing anything.

Frequently asked questions

Commercial locksmith questions from Plymouth and Bristol County businesses

Service and coverage

Is there a commercial locksmith that serves Plymouth and Bristol counties, MA?

Yes. Pop-A-Lock Plymouth & Bristol Counties is a mobile commercial locksmith serving businesses, property managers, schools, municipalities and fleets across both counties, including Brockton, Plymouth, Taunton, Fall River, New Bedford, Attleboro and the surrounding towns. Call 508-520-1700.

Which towns do you cover?

All of Plymouth County and Bristol County. That includes Brockton, Plymouth, Bridgewater, Middleborough, Wareham, Marshfield, Hingham, New Bedford, Fall River, Taunton, Attleboro, North Attleborough, Mansfield, Easton, Raynham, Somerset, Swansea, Seekonk, Dartmouth and Fairhaven. If you are not sure we reach you, call 508-520-1700 and ask.

Do you handle business lockouts after hours?

Yes. A locked-out business is lost revenue, so commercial lockouts are treated as urgent. Call 508-520-1700 any time and we will give you an honest estimate of when a technician can be there.

We have locations outside Massachusetts. Can Pop-A-Lock cover all of them?

In many cases, yes. Pop-A-Lock has locations in more than 40 states and Canada, backed by national account contracts. Tell us where your other sites are and we will connect you with the right coverage so you are not managing a different locksmith in every town.

Pricing, paperwork and billing

How much does a commercial locksmith cost in Southeastern Massachusetts?

It depends on the work, the hardware and how many doors are involved. A single lockout or rekey costs far less than a building-wide master key system or exit device installation. We give you a written quote before any work begins, and nothing starts until you approve it.

Can you send a certificate of insurance before working at our site?

Yes. Ask when you call or note it in the callback form, and we will send a certificate of insurance naming your company or property manager as the certificate holder before the job is scheduled.

How does billing work for businesses?

We invoice your business directly and can put your PO number, property address or job reference on the invoice so it clears your accounts payable without a back-and-forth. Ask about setting up a commercial account if you expect recurring work.

Keys, rekeying and key control

What should we do when an employee leaves with a key?

Rekey the locks that key opened. Rekeying changes the inside of the lock so the old key stops working, and new keys are cut on the spot while your hardware stays in place. If this happens often, a master key system with restricted keys makes the next turnover faster and cheaper.

What is a master key system and does my building need one?

A master key system lets each person carry one key that opens only the doors they need, while managers carry a key that opens more. Buildings with several suites, departments, tenants or staff levels usually benefit. We design the system, rekey the cylinders and give you a key schedule showing who opens what.

Can you stop employees from copying our keys?

Yes. Restricted and high-security keyways use keys that cannot be duplicated at a hardware store or kiosk. Copies are only made through an authorized source, so you control exactly how many keys exist.

Hardware and access control

Do you install and repair panic bars and exit devices?

Yes. We install, repair and adjust panic bars, exit devices and door closers so egress doors latch, release and close the way they should. Your local fire official has final authority on code questions, and we are glad to work with them.

Do you install access control or keyless entry for businesses?

Yes. We install and service keypad locks, fob and card systems, and managed access for offices, medical suites, multifamily buildings and other facilities with several staff levels. We help you pick a system that fits the building and the budget.

Fleets and vehicles

Can you make keys and fobs for our fleet vehicles on site?

For most makes and models, yes. We cut and program transponder keys and remotes at your lot or job site, so vehicles do not need to be towed to a dealership. Have the year, make, model and VIN ready when you call 508-520-1700.

What if a child or pet is locked in a vehicle?

Call 911 first if the child or pet is in distress, then call 508-520-1700. Through Pop-A-Lock’s PALSavesKids program we respond as a priority and unlock the vehicle at no charge.
