Pop-A-Lock of Pittsburgh is currently seeking to hire 2 or 3 Apprentice Locksmith Candidates. Pop-A-Lock is a nationally franchised company providing automotive, commercial and residential locksmith services throughout the US and Canada. Pop-A-Lock of Pittsburgh is the locally owned franchise providing these services to the greater Pittsburgh metro region.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to learn a new trade, establish themselves as a skilled professional and have unlimited earning potential based on how well you master the trade, how hard you are willing to work and how many calls you are willing to take per day.
You will work from your company provided Pop-A-Lock vehicle. Successful candidates will possess good organizational and customer service skills along with good craft and computer technology skills.
After a probationary apprenticeship, qualified candidates will attend two weeks of company paid training at Pop-A-Lock’s corporate headquarters in Lafayette, LA. The training provided there meets the certification standards of the Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA).
Candidates must be willing to be criminal (and driving record) background checked and drug tested. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends. You will be paid an initial rate for training ($10/hr), the length of which depends upon how quickly you master the skills necessary to move to the next level, typically 3 months.
Our mobile Locksmiths provide all different types of locksmith services including automotive (car door unlocking, key origination and duplications, ignition service, programming), residential (lockout services, rekeying, hardware installation and repair) and commercial (lockout services, master key systems, hardware installation and repair work, access controls, etc.). You will learn all of this and much more.
Mechanical skills, hands on type of work history is a plus. Must be willing to learn and able to work independently.
