The PAL Saves Kids™ Free Community Program has saved over 10,000 children locked in vehicles.
When a routine is disrupted, it’s very easy for a caregiver to forget they have a child in the backseat. It has happened to many people and Pop-A-Lock has witnessed many such incidents. Often, these incidents happen when a caregiver who is not typically responsible for transporting the child assumes this role and unintentionally forgets the child is with them due to unfamiliarity in their routine.
Tragically, this can lead to infants being forgotten in cars and suffering from hypothermia or heat stroke, depending on the weather.
In response, Pop-A-Lock, established in 1991 by law enforcement professionals, created a lifesaving initiative aimed at rescuing children from locked vehicles at any hour of the day, 24/7. The program, which operates nationwide, has successfully rescued thousands of children, free of charge. Our goal is to prevent such incidents from happening through education and prevention, with kindness and compassion and without fear of judgment.
We are deeply committed to providing this essential service to the communities of Rogers, as we do to our other locations. Our PAL Saves Kids™ Program is available on a 24-hour basis and is always free of charge. It’s our way of giving back to the community.
How do we do it? We give locked children our full priority and prioritize such incidents so that we can be there within minutes and unlock the child quickly and safely. To us, it’s just a few minutes of our time; to the children and their families, it’s a life-saving experience. That’s what fuels us to offer this service across the United States and for every car lockout incident involving children.
To help you during a car lockout emergency that involves children or any other person, here is a quick step-by-step guide:
We prioritize such emergencies because they are true emergencies. Once the child is safe, we go back to our schedule, with the satisfying feeling that we’ve been able to give back to our community.
