Our Story
Polk County's Locksmith Since 2013
Pop-A-Lock of Polk County launched as a mobile operation in 2013 and has been under the same ownership ever since. Five vans, all of Polk County — that’s still the core of what we do.
In 2025 we added a walk-in showroom at 355 W Davidson St — the orange building behind the Polk County courthouse. Customers can come in, see hardware on display, talk to a working locksmith, and in many cases save money by bringing their job to us instead of us coming to them.
We are a franchise location of Pop-A-Lock — national-level training, credentials, and equipment — with a local owner who has been here for over a decade and isn’t going anywhere.
What We Actually Do
We Do More Than Pop Locks
The name suggests emergency lockouts. That’s part of what we do — but most of what we do is traditional locksmith work. Car keys and key programming. Rekeying. Lock installation. Master key systems. Access control. Ignition repair.
On the automotive side, we have dealer-level programming capability for Ford, GM, Volkswagen, Audi, Mazda, Toyota, Hyundai, Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, and Volvo. You don’t need a dealer appointment.
